Housing Officer – 12 Month Fixed-Term (Dundalk)

About the role

The Housing Officer will provide a visible, customer‑focused presence in the Dundalk locality, delivering high‑quality housing management and lettings services. Working closely with the Housing Services Team Leader, you will help meet KPI targets, regulatory standards and improve overall customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Housing Services Manager in developing operational priorities and delivery plans.
• Assist the Lettings Team to ensure vacant properties are let quickly, minimising void periods.
• Apply Tuath tenancy agreements and statutory requirements to all housing management activities.
• Take ownership of the customer experience from pre‑tenancy through letting, including conducting viewings and sign‑ups.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including CREL, to deliver coordinated services and high customer satisfaction.
• Ensure efficient re‑letting processes and complete post‑letting hand‑over packs.
• Contribute to Customer Scrutiny Reviews, engagement activities and Locality Panels.

Required profile

• Experience in housing management or lettings, with knowledge of tenancy agreements and statutory regulations.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to manage the full tenancy lifecycle.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and support service improvement initiatives.
• Commitment to professionalism, integrity and delivering results against KPIs.
