Housing Officer – Cork

About the role

The Housing Officer will be the frontline representative for Tuath Housing in a defined locality in Cork. You will deliver high‑quality housing management and lettings services, ensuring customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance and achievement of key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Housing Services Manager in developing operational priorities and delivery plans.
• Work with the Lettings Team to ensure vacant properties are let quickly, minimising void periods.
• Manage tenancy agreements and ensure compliance with Tuath Tenancy Agreements and statutory requirements.
• Take ownership of the customer journey from pre‑tenancy through to letting, including viewings and sign‑ups.
• Collaborate with the CREL team and other localities to provide coordinated, high‑quality services.
• Prepare post‑lettings hand‑over packs and ensure properties are set up correctly for new tenants.

Required profile

• Experience in housing management, lettings or a related public‑sector role.
• Strong understanding of tenancy legislation and regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication and customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
• Commitment to delivering services that meet KPI targets.
