HR Generalist – Hybrid (Cavan/Dublin)

About the role

Our client, a global precision‑engineered manufacturer, is seeking an HR Generalist to provide operational HR support for its Irish business unit. Working in a hybrid model between Cavan and Dublin, you will ensure local HR practices align with Irish legislation and global policies.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment, onboarding, employment contracts, probation reviews and exit processes in line with Irish law.
• Act as first point of contact for employee‑relations queries, advising managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence matters.
• Maintain HR policies compliant with local legislation and EU GDPR, and assist with internal audits.
• Assist payroll administration, statutory leave, benefits coordination and pension scheme management.
• Contribute to performance review cycles, career development, learning programmes and employee‑engagement initiatives.
• Prepare HR metrics and reports for local and regional stakeholders, collaborating with regional and global HR teams.

Required profile

• Ability to operate within a matrix, multi‑country HR structure.
• Strong communication, advisory and organisational skills.
• Deep understanding of Irish employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting employee relations in a corporate or multinational environment.
• Experience with HRIS platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field; CIPD qualification preferred.
