HR Officer – Hospitality

About the role

We are looking for an HR Officer to join the Mulranny Park Hotel team. The role supports the management of the hotel’s human resources function, ensuring compliance with policies and Irish employment legislation while promoting the hotel as an attractive employer.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Cluster HR Manager in delivering HR services and develop procedures where needed.
• Plan and execute recruitment strategies, including peak‑season hiring and partnerships with schools, colleges and government bodies.
• Support the General Manager with weekly payroll processing, handling new starters, leavers and amendments.
• Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, handbooks and ensure all documentation is up‑to‑date.
• Process employee forms such as social‑welfare, mortgage and loan applications.
• Monitor time‑attendance, breaks and work‑permission documentation, prompting corrective action when required.
• Stay informed on industry best practices and upcoming employment legislation to keep hotel policies current.

Required profile

• Knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Experience in payroll administration and employee record management.
• Ability to develop recruitment plans and liaise with educational institutions.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to support internal employee communication.
