Human Resources Generalist – Ireland

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Human Resources Generalist to support our Irish business unit within a global manufacturing group. The role is based in Cavan, with the flexibility to work from Dublin and travel to the Cavan site as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, probation reviews and exits.
• Act as the first point of contact for employee relations, advising managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence matters.
• Support investigations, hearings and conduct exit interviews.
• Ensure HR policies comply with Irish employment legislation and align with global standards.
• Maintain employee data in line with EU GDPR and corporate governance requirements.
• Assist payroll administration, statutory leave, benefits and pension scheme coordination.
• Support performance review cycles, learning initiatives and employee engagement programmes.
• Prepare HR metrics and reports for local and regional stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Irish employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience handling employee relations in a corporate or multinational environment.
• Ability to work effectively within a matrix, multi‑country HR structure.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS platforms.
