Human Resources Manager – Healthcare Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead HR activities for Communicare Healthcare’s operations across Ireland. The role aligns with our mission to deliver quality staffing solutions in private homes, hospitals, and residential care facilities, upholding our values of trust, quality, integrity and passion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end HR function, including employee relations, performance management, compliance, health and safety.
• Ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Provide strategic HR direction to the board and senior management and report on key HR KPIs.
• Oversee recruitment, attracting high‑calibre staff to meet service needs.
• Lead training and development initiatives, evaluating CPD and training requirements.
• Act as primary advisor to managers on employee relations, disciplinary, grievance and welfare matters.
• Develop, improve and implement HR policies in line with legislation and organisational changes.
• Liaise with external bodies to monitor employment trends and advise proactive actions.
• Deliver HR training sessions to managers and communicate company messages effectively.

Required profile

• Degree level education or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a healthcare or staffing environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Irish HR employment law and ability to adapt changes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Strong leadership, communication and people‑management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
