Information Officer

About the role
The Information Officer will ensure that people living with multiple sclerosis, their families, carers and healthcare professionals have timely access to accurate, evidence‑based and person‑centred information. Working from the Dublin National Office or the Midwest Regional Centre in Limerick, the role combines information development, digital publishing and stakeholder engagement in a hybrid setting.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, review and update information resources in print, digital, video, audio and web formats, ensuring they are evidence‑based, inclusive and written in plain English.
- Coordinate clinical review and quality‑assurance processes, monitoring emerging evidence to keep resources current.
- Manage the organisation’s website and create content for publications, social media and other digital platforms in partnership with the Communications team.
- Lead the production of webinars, podcasts and online information tools.
- Respond to enquiries via telephone, email and other channels, record interactions in the CRM and produce regular reports.
- Support the Information Line service, integrating digital options to improve accessibility and user experience.
- Engage with neurologists, MS nurses, researchers and partner organisations to co‑design and co‑produce information resources.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and recognised information quality standards, maintaining a review schedule and collecting feedback for continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Proven experience in developing health‑related information resources and supporting health literacy.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical experts, researchers and internal teams.
- Strong written communication skills with a focus on plain‑English, evidence‑based content.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and co‑production of materials.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple projects, reviews and reporting requirements.
