Information Security Officer

About the role

KPMG Ireland is looking for an Information Security Officer to join its Information Security Office. Working in a hybrid model from Dublin, you will support governance, risk and compliance activities while enabling the secure adoption of new technologies across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct information security risk assessments for systems, suppliers and projects.
• Maintain risk documentation, support risk tracking and reporting.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of security policies, standards and procedures.
• Lead the operational delivery of Technology Enablement Governance (TEG) and New Technology Evaluation & Risk (NTER) processes.
• Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders navigating security requirements.
• Support emerging areas such as AI risk and security assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in information security, IT risk or GRC, preferably in a professional services or regulated environment.
• Experience conducting security risk assessments, including third‑party assessments.
• Familiarity with governance processes such as technology onboarding, risk approval or change assessment frameworks.
• Interest or experience in AI security, AI governance or related training.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISO 27001, CISM, CRISC) are desirable.
