Interim Property Director – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Interim Property Director to join a growing commercial property business for a six‑month period. Working closely with senior leadership, you will assess current operations and drive improvements that enhance client experience, efficiency and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess existing property management operations, identifying opportunities for process, system and service improvements.
• Implement industry best practice across commercial property management functions to ensure consistency and operational excellence.
• Provide strategic leadership, coaching and mentoring to build capability within the property management team.
• Support the development of a high‑performance, customer‑focused culture delivering exceptional client service.
• Strengthen client relationship management and support key client engagements as required.
• Review financial management processes, including budgeting, service‑charge administration, rent collection and reporting, recommending improvements.
• Evaluate lease management processes, occupier engagement, rent reviews and renewals for compliance and efficiency.
• Develop and introduce robust operational procedures, governance frameworks and performance measures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant property legislation, regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
• Work with senior leadership to identify opportunities for sustainable growth and long‑term operational success.
• Produce clear recommendations and a roadmap for continued improvement after the contract ends.

Required profile

• Significant senior‑level experience in commercial property management.
• Proven track record of driving operational improvement and leading change.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to embed best practice.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
