Internal Audit Manager – CRO & Capital Markets

About the role

Join Northern Trust’s Audit Services team as an Internal Audit Manager focused on CRO and Capital Markets. You will lead audit engagements that assess operational risk, compliance, and capital‑markets activities across a global footprint, working closely with senior stakeholders and audit partners in Ireland, London, Chicago and Manila.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit project teams, ensuring objectives, timelines and audit standards are met.
• Develop and execute testing approaches, producing clear, concise workpapers that support audit conclusions.
• Identify efficiency opportunities, leveraging data‑analytics techniques to enhance audit coverage.
• Communicate audit status proactively, presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives within the audit function.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of non‑financial risk, capital‑markets processes and related regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end audit engagements in a financial services environment.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with global audit partners.
