IT Field Engineer

About the role

Ergo is looking for experienced IT Field Engineers to join a well‑established team supporting multiple remote client sites on long‑term contracts. The role involves on‑site installation, configuration and maintenance of a wide range of IT hardware and software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure PCs, laptops, and apply imaging and domain settings.
• Support and configure Virtual Desktop Environment using VMware.
• Set up and troubleshoot smart devices (iOS & Android).
• Maintain digital radio mobile equipment and associated antenna systems.
• Support control‑room systems, including CCTV.
• Configure desk‑based telephony, video‑conferencing and unified communications solutions.
• Perform network patching, troubleshooting and support.
• Install and maintain networked printers and scanners.
• Produce technical documentation and contribute to the knowledge base.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Field Support Engineer or similar role.
• Full clean driver’s licence and own transport.
• EU passport or Stamp 4 Visa with no work restrictions.
• Fluent English language skills.
