IT Infrastructure Installation Engineer (Mid-Level)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Installation Engineer to independently lead complex server and network deployments that support enterprise physical security systems. This mid‑level position owns installation projects, configures advanced infrastructure components, troubleshoots issues, and ensures seamless integration between servers, network gear, and security endpoints.

Key responsibilities

• Provision Dell servers, configure advanced RAID and disk arrays for high‑write video storage workloads.
• Set up iDRAC and Lifecycle Controller settings, apply Dell OpenManage firmware baselines before OS deployment.
• Deploy Windows Server and hardened Linux OS images via PXE boot or iDRAC Virtual Media.
• Design VLAN‑based network segmentation and dedicated subnets to isolate CCTV, PIDS, and intercom traffic.
• Configure QoS policies on Cisco Catalyst switches to prioritize video streams and manage PoE/PoE+ budgeting for IP cameras and door readers.
• Harden Cisco IOS devices with ACLs, disable unnecessary services, and secure management protocols (SSH/HTTPS).
• Coordinate with network engineers and physical‑security installers to validate port activations and device‑to‑server communication.
• Execute validation testing (bandwidth saturation, physical‑layer distance, latency) and produce detailed As‑Built documentation.
• Provide 24×7 technical support, perform root‑cause analysis, and deliver weekly project status updates.

• Ability to work independently, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to provide on‑call support in a globally distributed setting.
