IT Infrastructure Installation Engineer (Mid-Level)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Installation Engineer to lead complex server and network deployments that support enterprise physical security systems. In this mid‑level position you will own installation projects, configure advanced infrastructure components, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless integration between servers, network gear, and security endpoints.

Key responsibilities

• Provision Dell server hardware, configure advanced RAID and disk array settings for high‑write video storage.
• Set up iDRAC and Lifecycle Controller, apply Dell OpenManage firmware baselines before OS deployment.
• Deploy Windows Server and hardened Linux via PXE boot or iDRAC Virtual Media.
• Design VLAN‑based network segmentation and dedicated subnets for CCTV, PIDS, and intercom traffic.
• Configure QoS policies on Cisco Catalyst switches to prioritize video streams.
• Manage PoE/PoE+ budgeting for IP cameras, door readers, and security panels.
• Harden Cisco IOS devices with ACLs, disable unnecessary services, and secure SSH/HTTPS management.
• Coordinate with network engineers and physical‑security installers to validate port activation and device communication.
• Perform validation testing (bandwidth, latency, physical‑layer checks) before handoff.
• Create detailed As‑Built documentation, topology diagrams, VLAN matrices, and configuration backups.
• Provide 24×7 technical support, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions for medium‑complexity issues.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with proven experience in server and network installations for security environments.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers.
• Willingness to provide on‑call support in a globally distributed setting.
