IT Security Engineer

About the role

GOAL is seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer to join its Global IT Services team. The role will involve working across a wide range of security activities, from risk management and incident response to strengthening controls and supporting IT teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Support the lifecycle management of information security policies and documentation.
• Identify and implement improvements in information security risk management.
• Review, recommend, and implement security controls across all IT environments.
• Investigate and resolve security exceptions, incidents, and alerts.
• Deliver and manage organization‑wide information security awareness programmes.
• Assess security of new IT products and services, providing security input to projects.
• Act as an escalation point for in‑country IT technicians and collaborate on cybersecurity issue resolution.
• Log, track, and manage cybersecurity incidents through the Service Desk system.
• Document processes, develop user support documentation, and maintain the knowledge base.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an IT services or security role.
• Experience processing and prioritising IT service tickets.
• Ability to adapt to evolving IT environments and learn new technologies.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with diverse users.
• Microsoft certification or equivalent qualification.
