IT Support Engineer – Level 1 (Onsite, Cork)

About the role

We are looking for a Level 1 IT Support Engineer to join a well‑established organisation in Cork. The role is fully onsite and offers the chance to work as the primary IT contact for employees, delivering day‑to‑day technical assistance while collaborating with a broader IT team on projects and improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide responsive support for laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices and business applications.
• Assist users with Microsoft 365 suite, including Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
• Prepare, configure and deploy end‑user devices and manage hardware replacements, upgrades and repairs.
• Set up equipment and system access for new starters and recover assets on employee departures.
• Support network‑related issues such as wireless connectivity and VPN remote access.
• Participate in system upgrades, technology roll‑outs and IT improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate records of hardware, software and IT assets.
• Help uphold security standards by applying updates, endpoint management and reporting vulnerabilities.
• Create and update technical documentation and contribute to knowledge‑sharing.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in IT Support, Service Desk or Desktop Support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Experience provisioning and supporting user devices.
• Familiarity with endpoint management and device administration tools.
• Good understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi, VPN).
