IT Systems Lead

About the role

This permanent position offers an experienced IT professional the chance to own and continuously improve the technology environment of a fast‑growing organisation in South Dublin. You will work hands‑on with senior leadership and external partners to ensure reliable, secure and scalable IT services that support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, cloud services, hardware and core business systems.
• Administer Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Entra ID (Azure AD), user accounts, licensing and collaboration platforms.
• Manage relationships with third‑party IT providers, ensuring high service levels and timely issue resolution.
• Maintain cybersecurity controls, backups, disaster‑recovery processes and GDPR compliance.
• Provide technical leadership for IT projects, infrastructure upgrades and system improvements.
• Lead onboarding/off‑boarding, endpoint deployment and end‑user support.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities using Power Automate, Power Apps, Zapier, Make or similar tools.
• Support the rollout of AI‑enabled tools and intelligent automation to boost operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain integrations between business applications to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy.
• Monitor system performance, proactively resolve issues and recommend technology enhancements.
• Maintain technical documentation, system standards and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years in a senior systems administration, infrastructure engineering or IT systems lead role.
• Proven experience administering Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Azure AD environments.
• Strong background in cloud‑based infrastructure, networking and endpoint management.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices, backups and disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Experience delivering workflow automation with Power Platform or comparable tools.
• Exposure to AI technologies and practical implementation of AI‑enabled business solutions is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
