IT/OT Engineer

About the role

Ekco is seeking an IT/OT Engineer to maintain and manage operational technology (OT) systems, support virtual machine infrastructure, and control user access while safeguarding critical OT environments. The role operates in a highly regulated context, ensuring compliance with industry standards and site‑specific SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage Virtual Machines on TS‑managed hardware.
• Onboard and offboard user accounts and groups via IAM processes.
• Facilitate remote access to the OT environment for deployment and support teams.
• Manage user and group access to OT resources.
• Ensure backup and recovery of critical OT systems following vendor‑supported procedures.
• Identify and protect GxP data in line with regulatory standards.
• Submit IT service requests related to network, server, and firewall infrastructure.
• Support OT cybersecurity initiatives such as IAM, Dirsync, Tanium, Nozomi, USB hardening, application whitelisting, and micro‑segmentation.
• Participate in high‑risk remediation planning, secure segmentation, firewall lockdown rule support, low‑level design development, threat monitoring, and BCP plan review for OT systems.

Required profile

• Experience working in a high‑regulation environment with OT systems.
• Ability to follow Global ISRM and OTCS standards.
• Commitment to supporting a culture of training and awareness in OT cybersecurity.
