Junior Full Stack Engineer – Python & React

About the role

EXL is seeking a Junior Full Stack Engineer to join its Digital team in Dublin. You will work on cutting‑edge data and AI solutions, building end‑to‑end applications that support AI agents and real‑time monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack applications using Python for the backend and React.js for the frontend.
• Create APIs and micro‑services that enable AI agent communication and data exchange.
• Implement real‑time features for monitoring, logging, and performance tracking.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the entire stack.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers in an agile/DevOps environment.
• Write clean, secure, and maintainable code following best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 1+ year of experience in application development or support.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with global stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated, curious, and able to perform under pressure.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

Required skills

• Python
• React.js
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• CI/CD pipeline knowledge
• Understanding of algorithms, design patterns, and data structures
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC tools (Terraform, CDK) – optional
• Exposure to AI/ML libraries such as LangChain, OpenAI API, or Bedrock – optional
