Junior Site Quality Officer

About the role

ALS is looking for a motivated Junior Site Quality Officer to join its Quality team in Clonmel. You will support daily laboratory operations, ensuring the reliability of test results while working closely with QA and laboratory staff.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily equipment checks in the laboratory.
• Perform analytical quality controls for laboratory tests.
• Maintain document control procedures and assist with issuing and archiving records.
• Support the upkeep of equipment and training records.
• Assist with internal investigations, complaints, and induction training for new staff.
• Help prepare for external and customer audits and act as an audit officer for internal audit programmes.
• Manage day‑to‑day administration in the QA office.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong interest in microbiology and quality management.
• Previous experience in a scientific or quality environment.
• Good understanding of quality control and assurance principles.
• Excellent attention to detail, time‑management and communication skills.
