Laundry Assistant – Housekeeping Operative

About the role

We are seeking a Laundry Assistant/Housekeeping Operative to join Beechfield Care Group at Glengara Park Nursing Home in Glasthule, Dublin. The role involves supporting housekeeping and laundry services to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents.

Key responsibilities

• Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing and folding of residents' linens and clothing.
• Assist with general housekeeping tasks across the nursing home, maintaining cleanliness of rooms, common areas and bathrooms.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health and safety regulations at all times.
• Support the care team by promptly responding to residents' needs related to cleanliness and comfort.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and laundry materials, reporting any shortages.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities to manage workload and supplies.
• Leadership qualities to motivate and guide team members when required.
• Commitment to upholding resident dignity, safety and comfort.

Required skills

• Experience in laundry operations and basic housekeeping.
