Lead Associate Specialist – Control Testing

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Associate Specialist to join our newly established Centralized First Line of Defense (1LoD) Control Testing function. In this role you will lead the execution of control testing activities, ensure quality standards are met, and support the broader risk management objectives across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead controls testing execution, including walkthroughs, design, and operating effectiveness testing.
• Perform quality reviews of testing workpapers produced by other testers to ensure compliance with 1LoD Control Testing Methodology and quality expectations.
• Act as the primary liaison with stakeholders to ensure their engagement throughout critical testing phases.
• Provide guidance and support to testers to ensure efficient and effective test execution.
• Monitor all testing phases, escalating significant deficiencies or delays as needed.
• Compile, manage, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including test results, dashboards, and remediation status.
• Assist in identifying, escalating, and tracking follow‑up actions and potential deficiencies.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently under general supervision.
• Experience with risk‑based control reviews and in‑depth analysis of test results.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.
• Proven ability to monitor testing timelines and manage reporting deliverables.
