Lead Consumer Products Designer – DTR

About the role

Mattel is seeking a Lead Consumer Products Designer to drive innovative, trend‑led design solutions for its DTR accounts across EMEA. You will guide the design process from concept to final product, ensuring brand integrity and market relevance across softlines and hardlines.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with regional commercial teams to pitch to current and prospective partners.
• Research and analyse fashion, social, and consumer trends in the EMEA region.
• Create inspiration mood boards, product, colour, and print direction pitches.
• Develop new style guide directions and toolkits.
• Lead design from concept development through to final product, adhering to brand guidelines.
• Translate Mattel’s style guides, assets, and IP into compelling product concepts.
• Manage product development and approval processes.
• Collaborate closely with partners and cross‑functional teams for on‑brand execution.

Required profile

• 7+ years of licensing experience, strong exposure to softlines, fast fashion, and ladieswear.
• Knowledge of home wear, hardlines, and accessories.
• Solid graphic and product design background, preferably in fashion or consumer products.
• Experience working with brand style guides and assets.
• Degree in Graphic/Product Design or related art discipline.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat.
• Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
