Lifeguard & Swimming Pool Teacher

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Lifeguard and Swimming Pool Teacher to join our award‑winning hotel club in Malahide. The successful candidate will ensure water safety while delivering high‑quality swimming lessons to members and guests of all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor pool area to guarantee safety and respond to emergencies.
• Plan and conduct swimming lessons for a range of abilities and age groups.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming pool environment.
• Provide personalised attention to members and guests, promoting a proactive club atmosphere.
• Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required profile

• Current RLSS / IWS National Pool Lifeguard qualification.
• Qualified Swimming Teacher or Swim Instructor certification.
• Previous experience in a leisure or club setting is desirable.
• Experience teaching swimming to diverse ages and abilities is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proactive, safety‑focused attitude.
