Locum Consultant Obstetrics & Gynaecology – Sligo University Hospital

About the role

This temporary position is for a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Sligo University Hospital. The assignment runs from Monday 29 June to Friday 10 July, with on‑call duties on Thursday 2 July and Saturday 4 July (9 am) through to Monday 6 July (9 am).

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consultant‑level obstetric and gynaecological care in line with hospital protocols.
• Cover roster requirements and provide on‑call coverage on specified dates.
• Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Valid IMC registration.
• Right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
• Minimum six months of experience in a comparable consultant role within the UK or Ireland.
