Machine Operative – Day Shift

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Machine Operative to join our day‑shift team at our state‑of‑the‑art snack production plant in Ashbourne, Co. Meath. You will play a key part in ensuring smooth operation of packing lines while maintaining high standards of health, safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain health & safety, hygiene and housekeeping standards in your area.
• Drive production performance and achieve FTQ (First Time Quality) targets.
• Record and input production data using paperwork or FMES systems.
• Maximise output of packing machines through continuous communication with Line Lead, Maintenance Lead, Process Lead and Team Captains.
• Monitor and deliver hourly efficiency for your area.
• Ensure machinery is left in standard working condition according to best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience operating manufacturing machinery.
• Pro‑active team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated, well‑organised and eager to undertake personal development training.
• Problem‑solving ability and willingness to learn new ways of working.

Required skills

• Operation of packing machinery.
• Basic computer skills, preferably Excel.
• Knowledge of product specifications and CCPs.
