About the role
Dawn Meats Kildare, part of Dawn Meats Group, one of Europe's leading beef and lamb processors, is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to help run and maintain its production facility in Kildare town. The post reports to the Maintenance Manager and is permanent.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full electrical works and troubleshoot site and equipment
- Carry out work orders in a timely and safe way, following company procedures
- Upload completed job details onto a handheld mobile field device
- Test, inspect and certify your own installations
- Explain system procedures to site management
- Build in-depth knowledge of the site's electrical equipment
- Complete all work order forms and paperwork
- Follow health and safety rules and complete training and SOP reviews on compliance
Required profile
- Qualified electrician with a recognised electrical apprenticeship or trade qualification
- At least 2 years of experience after apprenticeship
- Experience with machines and process equipment, controls and automation
- Experience in electrical and mechanical installations and maintenance
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Able to work independently with little supervision and in a team
- Flexible to overtime and on-call work
