Maintenance Technician – Dublin Tunnel

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Dublin Tunnel Control Building. You will be responsible for the upkeep of mechanical and electrical systems throughout the tunnel, reporting to the M&E Technical Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain electrical and mechanical systems within the Dublin Tunnel.
• Record and document all maintenance activities in the Maintenance Management System.
• Complete preventive and corrective work orders efficiently and cost‑effectively.
• Attend scheduled tunnel closures and liaise with contractors.
• Assist with equipment and system upgrade projects (CAPEX) and support reliability improvement initiatives.
• Develop, manage and supervise maintenance department projects.
• Provide on‑call cover for out‑of‑hours maintenance as part of a roster.
• Conduct civil, structural and environmental inspections as required.
• Ensure all activities comply with ISO 55001, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Fully qualified electrician with a time‑served electrical qualification.
• Leaving Certificate (preferred).
• Desirable experience with MV, LV, LSS and HVAC systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
