Maintenance Technician – GMP Production

About the role

PCI is seeking a permanent Maintenance Technician to join its Dundalk site. The role works a 12‑hour day shift from Thursday to Saturday, supporting GMP‑driven biopharma production by ensuring equipment reliability and minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform machine change‑overs, address stoppages and breakdowns within target times.
• Carry out planned routine maintenance and keep schedules up to date.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults to an expert level.
• Program PLCs and contribute to technically complex improvement projects.
• Design, develop and implement new systems or process upgrades.
• Create and manage MOCs through the QMS.
• Conduct design of experiments and other fault‑finding techniques.
• Maintain safe work practices, clean and secure maintenance areas.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, liaise with engineering supervisors and managers.
• Participate in A3 problem‑solving and lead root‑cause analyses.
• Plan and execute engineering improvement projects, including validation.
• Document all activities, tooling logs, setting sheets and PPM records accurately.

Required profile

• Multiskilled individual able to work on both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience in GMP environments and familiarity with change‑control procedures.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and equipment reliability.
• Willingness to work the specified Thursday‑Saturday 12‑hour shift pattern.
