Maintenance Technician

About the role

KOSTAL Ireland is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support its high‑volume electronic manufacturing sites in Limerick and Cork. You will be responsible for keeping test and production equipment running efficiently, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and monitoring of all equipment.
• Maximise machine uptime and utilisation across test and production lines.
• Diagnose and repair electro‑mechanical failures, including PLC, servo drives and vision systems.
• Support change‑over activities in line with production schedules and new product builds.
• Identify and implement process improvements and environmental best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum NFQ Level 6 (Certificate/Diploma) in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Experience in electronic manufacturing and high‑volume automation.
• Proven fault‑finding ability on PLC‑controlled equipment.
• Commitment to a safe working environment.
