Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our operations team and ensure that all equipment and machinery run safely, efficiently and reliably. The role involves performing planned maintenance, responding to breakdowns and supporting production to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance programmes to enhance equipment reliability.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, responding promptly to breakdowns to reduce production downtime.
• Perform fault finding and diagnostics on a wide range of production machinery.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance colleagues to support day‑to‑day operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and assist with spare‑parts inventory control.
• Follow health and safety procedures and comply with industry regulations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar engineering role, preferably in food production or manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals.
• Effective communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, and availability for emergency call‑outs.
