Maintenance Technician – Shift Role

About the role

Atlantach is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to join a high‑profile medical‑device manufacturing client in Westmeath. The role operates on a shift pattern and involves maintaining and fault‑finding on electrically and mechanically driven production equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance and fault finding on production equipment.
• Test and qualify PLC‑ and PC‑controlled machinery.
• Collaborate with production team leads and manufacturing staff to schedule downtime for preventive maintenance.
• Work to tight timelines, ensuring equipment is ready for production.
• Stop work when unsafe conditions are identified, adhering to quality, safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Level 6 qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Electrical & Instrumentation.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar technical role within an automated manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work shift cycles and collaborate within a team.
