Maintenance & Validation Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance & Validation Engineer to ensure reliable operation, maintenance, calibration and validation of production equipment and facility systems at a manufacturing site in South Kerry. The role works closely with production, quality and external contractors in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage preventative maintenance programmes for manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Coordinate equipment calibration activities and maintain accurate records.
• Support validation and qualification of equipment, utilities and processes (IQ, OQ, PQ).
• Assist with maintenance and validation of purified water, HVAC and sterilisation systems.
• Liaise with external service providers and contractors for maintenance and qualification tasks.
• Maintain engineering documentation, maintenance logs and validation records.
• Procure spare parts and engineering consumables as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support audits/inspections.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in maintenance, calibration or validation within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements and validation principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small multidisciplinary team.
