Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join a dynamic retail group operating across multiple locations in County Kerry. The role will support financial management, reporting and commercial analysis in a fast‑moving retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and performance reports.
• Analyse sales, margins, costs and operational performance across stores.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Monitor financial controls and drive process improvements.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and month‑end journal entries.
• Support VAT, payroll and statutory compliance requirements.
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors during year‑end processes.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management.

Required profile

• Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or ATI).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong analytical ability and high attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively across multiple locations.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with accounting software.
