Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Vertiv, a leading manufacturer of electrical switchgear and busbars in the UK & Ireland, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, optimise and coordinate factory production processes. You will turn product designs into high‑quality physical goods while ensuring efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods based on product design, materials and components.
• Create and update assembly procedures for new and existing products.
• Support the production department in managing change initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain production documentation for pre‑series, special production, prototypes and new projects.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and resolve technical manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with technical teams to prepare cost estimates for new projects.
• Participate in procurement and design of handling and manufacturing equipment.
• Engage in lean projects with the Lean Supervisor to eliminate waste.

Required profile

• University degree in electrical or electronic engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in electrical engineering or related manufacturing environment.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
