Manufacturing Engineer – Process Optimization

About the role

Vertiv, a leading electrical switchgear manufacturer in the UK & Ireland, is looking for a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join its global engineering team. You will play a key part in improving manufacturing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring product quality across our facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing routings aligned with engineering drawings and quality standards.
• Conduct time studies to determine accurate process times and labor requirements.
• Document manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality plans.
• Analyze existing processes, implement improvements, and drive lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Select, install, and commission new manufacturing equipment within budget constraints.
• Develop production plans, schedules, and capacity forecasts to meet demand.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to achieve project goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing principles and process optimisation.
