Manufacturing Technician

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support aseptic product compounding in a regulated environment. The role involves executing production tasks, maintaining documentation, and ensuring a clean and safe manufacturing area.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily tasks assigned by the Production Manager in accordance with GMP and the quality system.
• Perform activities related to the compounding of aseptic processes.
• Prepare components and equipment for processing in a Grade C environment.
• Accurately complete and maintain documentation in a timely and legible manner.
• Keep the manufacturing area tidy, clean, and organized.
• Review and update documentation as requested by the Production Manager.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis, problem solving, and compliant investigations.
• Report maintenance issues to the Production Manager and maintenance department.
• Set up, clean, and maintain equipment.
• Follow gowning procedures for entry to Grade C areas and adhere to safety, housekeeping, and quality standards.
• Perform any additional duties as directed by the Production Manager.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in aseptic/sterile manufacturing is preferred but not essential.
• Background in cleanroom operations is advantageous.
• Third‑level qualification in a science or engineering discipline is a plus.
