Manufacturing Training Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Training Specialist to join our team in Letterkenny. Reporting to the Director of Operational Excellence, you will drive employee capability, support continuous learning, and help maintain operational excellence in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver onboarding, induction, compliance and skills‑based training programmes across production, quality, engineering, warehouse and support functions.
• Facilitate classroom, practical and on‑the‑job training sessions.
• Coordinate competency assessments, certification and recertification programmes.
• Maintain training records, skills matrices and compliance documentation.
• Identify training needs and support workforce development and succession planning.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, EHS, HR and site leadership to align training with business objectives.
• Support audits, compliance requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve materials and delivery methods.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification (Level 7 or above) in Learning & Development, Education, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, operations or training environment.
• Experience delivering training in a regulated manufacturing setting.
• Strong presentation, coaching, facilitation and communication abilities.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels and across shift‑based operations.
