Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the creation of innovative mechanical solutions for our customers. The role combines technical design, project leadership and direct client interaction to deliver high‑quality automation equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to all stages of the project lifecycle, from proposal and planning through execution, delivery, and post‑project review.
• Monitor and report on project progress, including technical updates, scope, schedule, and cost adherence.
• Design and develop mechanical solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
• Perform engineering calculations and specify components as needed.
• Lead internal and customer design reviews, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Work according to project plans and schedules as determined by the design lead.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Translate project requirements into effective design solutions.
• Plan project tasks for yourself and any assigned resources, ensuring timely and quality completion.
• Adhere to all relevant quality standards, including revision control, documentation, and procedural compliance.
• Present designs in structured design reviews with clear and concise communication.
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering professional growth.
• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.
• Travel as required for project execution and customer engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or an equivalent 3D CAD design package.
• Proven experience executing mechanical design projects from concept to delivery, preferably in an automation environment.
• A valid driver’s license.
