Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with a multinational client in Kildare to find a Mechanical Engineer who will support the design, documentation and troubleshooting of mechanical systems across a range of projects. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure equipment is correctly assigned and documented.

Key responsibilities

• Review and confirm correct assignment of equipment within the system/tool environment.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and cross‑functional teams to define and confirm project requirements.
• Participate in mechanical system design reviews, providing technical input and feedback.
• Verify services and data flow against system references and documentation.
• Liaise with trades, design teams, IT and other stakeholders to resolve issues and record outcomes via Records of Discussion (RODs).
• Interpret mechanical specifications, facility data sheets and vendor documentation to support decision‑making.
• Conduct engineering reviews and EQAs to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot mechanical system issues and support resolution of technical problems.
• Perform timely peer reviews of engineering deliverables.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in CAD and Excel for engineering and data analysis tasks.
• Ability to interpret mechanical specifications, facility data sheets and vendor documentation.
• Experience conducting engineering reviews, EQAs and peer reviews.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders and documenting outcomes.
