Mechanical Engineering AI Trainer (Remote, Contract)

About the role
We are partnering with leading AI research labs to develop AI models that can reason about the physical world. As a Mechanical Engineering AI Trainer you will apply your domain expertise to create, evaluate and improve engineering challenges for large language models.
Key responsibilities
- Design advanced engineering problems covering FEA, heat transfer, kinematics, material science, etc., to test AI reasoning.
- Author detailed, step‑by‑step ground‑truth solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI training.
- Audit AI‑generated outputs such as CAD logic, thermodynamic proofs, and material specifications for technical accuracy, safety and compliance with standards (ASME, ISO).
- Identify logical failures, document them and provide structured feedback to improve model performance.
Required profile
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field.
- Strong knowledge of core mechanical engineering disciplines (solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, manufacturing).
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to explain complex physical concepts clearly.
- Detail‑oriented and meticulous when checking derivations, unit conversions and boundary conditions.
