Mechanical Engineering – Data Centres (Relocation to Dublin)

About the role

This position offers a unique chance to relocate to Dublin, a fast‑growing data‑centre hub, and take a senior technical leadership role within a global consultancy. You will influence design decisions, guide delivery of mission‑critical mechanical systems, and mentor a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and delivery of complex data‑centre projects, focusing on cooling, HVAC, ventilation and redundancy.
• Act as the senior technical point of contact for clients, providing clear direction throughout design and construction phases.
• Collaborate with engineers across Black & White Engineering’s UK, Irish and European offices to ensure best‑practice standards.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering technical and commercial growth.
• Support the relocation process to Dublin, with company assistance.

Required profile

• Strong background in data‑centre or mission‑critical mechanical design (cooling, HVAC, resilience, redundancy).
• Proven experience leading large‑scale mechanical building‑services projects.
• Excellent understanding of performance‑driven mechanical systems.
• Experience in the UK or EU consulting engineering market.
• Willingness to relocate to Dublin, Ireland.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Fluent English communication skills.
