MES Technology Internship

About the role

Lilly is building a next‑generation biotech manufacturing facility in Limerick and seeks an intern to support the design and implementation of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) user interfaces. The role blends design, technical development, and user research to create user‑friendly, compliant applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop front‑end UI/UX components for MES applications, ensuring technical feasibility across full‑stack technologies.
• Support end‑user testing, collaborate with system personnel, and integrate MES with EWM and automation systems.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.

Required profile

• Computer Science bachelor student (or equivalent) with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work on‑site 4‑5 days a week and contribute to a regulated (GxP) environment.

Required skills

• Front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks)
• Understanding of MES, EWM, and automation system integration
• Data analytics and data‑driven decision making
• User research methodologies and usability testing
• Knowledge of GxP quality management practices
