Night Porter – Full‑time Hotel Night Shift

About the role

Cabra Castle is looking for a dedicated Night Porter to join its hospitality team on a full‑time basis. This role is ideal for a customer‑focused night owl who enjoys providing a safe, welcoming environment for guests during the overnight hours.

Key responsibilities

• Check‑in late‑arriving guests following hotel procedures.
• Answer the hotel switchboard courteously and take accurate messages for guests and management.
• Sell available rooms during the night to reputable clientele.
• Serve light food and beverages to residents and their guests, handling all transactions accurately.
• Account for all monies and charges, ensuring they are transferred to the day‑time receptionist.
• Conduct regular security patrols to protect guests, staff, and property, with a focus on fire safety.
• Prepare function spaces for the next day’s events.

Required profile

• Age 25 or older.
• Full, clean driver’s licence and reliable means of commuting.
• Legal permission to reside and work in Ireland.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
