Night Porter

About the role

The Seafield Hotel & Spa Resort is looking for a reliable Night Porter to join its Front Office team during overnight hours. You will be the primary point of contact for guests after hours, ensuring safety, comfort and a seamless experience throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional service to all guests during the night shift.
• Assist with check‑ins, check‑outs, room allocations and issue keys as needed.
• Handle guest enquiries, messages, wake‑up calls and any special requests promptly.
• Perform night audit procedures, manage cash handling and prepare safe deposits.
• Conduct regular fire walks, maintain clear exits and uphold health & safety standards.
• Report incidents, accidents and maintenance issues, completing required documentation.
• Keep public areas clean, secure and well‑presented.
• Deliver a detailed handover to the morning team.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar night‑porter or front‑office role within a 3‑ or 4‑star hotel (preferred).
• Strong customer‑service orientation and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, work independently and stay calm under pressure.
• Reliability, punctuality and flexibility to work night shifts.
• Proficient spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Experience with HotSoft or a comparable hotel management system.
