Nursing Studies Teacher (Part-time)

About the role

The Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board is seeking a qualified Teacher of Nursing Studies to join Dungarvan College for the 2026/27 academic year. This part‑time, pro‑rata position (6.67 hours per week) is designed to cover a career break and deliver high‑quality nursing education in line with the Teaching Council’s Code of Professional Conduct.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess nursing curriculum modules for post‑secondary students.
• Provide learning support and guidance to students, fostering academic and professional development.
• Maintain compliance with professional teaching standards and college policies.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant nursing qualification and teaching accreditation recognised by the Teaching Council.
• Experience in nursing education or clinical practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a college environment.
