Operations Director – Residential Development

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing residential developer in Cork to find an Operations Director who will take full operational responsibility for the business. The successful candidate will lead the company’s strategic growth, oversee multiple departments and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s strategic plan to achieve growth, profitability and long‑term objectives across Ireland.
• Identify new market opportunities and diversify service offerings.
• Monitor industry trends to maintain a competitive position in the residential sector.
• Lead, motivate and guide operational and sales teams to exceed performance targets.
• Set clear objectives, track progress and provide continuous support to teams.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient project execution and delivery.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Implement systems and processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain and enhance operational metrics within the Business Management System.

Required profile

• Degree in architecture, engineering, quantity surveying or a related field.
• 20+ years of industry experience, including senior leadership or general management in the residential sector.
• Proven track record of scaling a business and managing multi‑million residential projects.
• Strong client relationship management and business development experience.
• Demonstrated P&L management and financial performance oversight.
