Part Qualified Accountant – Hybrid (Meath/Kildare)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Part Qualified Accountant to join a leading construction manufacturing business located on the Meath/Kildare border. The role offers a 50:50 hybrid working model, flexible start times, and the chance to support the Finance Accountant and Group Financial Controller across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with monthly reconciliation of key balance‑sheet accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and post financial journals in the accounting system.
• Support month‑end close activities and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
• Prepare documentation for the annual audit and respond to auditor queries.
• Manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including acquisitions and disposals.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and other tax filings.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and contribute to reporting improvements.
• Process company credit‑card transactions and uphold confidentiality standards.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) and actively pursuing qualification.
• 2‑4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of debits, credits, accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of VAT and general tax compliance.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
• VAT compliance knowledge.
