Part-Qualified Accountant

About the role

The Part-Qualified Accountant will support Standard Control Systems' finance function across accounting, reporting and compliance activities. This position is ideal for a motivated individual progressing through a recognised accounting qualification and looking to gain commercial and technical experience in a growing, technology‑focused organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and perform balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, variance analysis and budgeting forecasts.
• Support revenue reporting, sales tracking and the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Provide financial input for operational decisions, KPI reporting and sales‑team analyses.
• Help ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PAYE, VAT, CSO and CRO returns.
• Liaise with auditors and external advisors on statutory accounts and corporate tax matters.
• Collaborate with the finance team and the Group Financial Controller to communicate financial information to senior management.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Experience with accounting systems such as Sybiz, SAP, Sage or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and data analysis.
