Part‑Qualified Accountant

About the role

We are an established Chartered Accountancy Practice looking for a part‑qualified accountant to join our experienced team. This role is ideal for candidates with at least two years of practice experience who are eager to deliver high‑quality financial services to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end non‑audit company accounts and supporting working papers.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet items such as VAT, payroll, leases, hire purchases and fixed assets.
• Post journal entries using accounting software while applying core accounting principles.
• Assist in the preparation of periodic management accounts.
• Produce statutory financial statements in line with deadlines and established checklists.
• Support year‑end close‑out procedures and journal preparation.
• Help prepare Corporation Tax returns.
• Liaise confidently with clients via phone and written correspondence.
• Assist managers on ad‑hoc, project‑based client assignments.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
• Minimum 2+ years of general accounting practice experience.
• Results‑oriented, organised and able to work independently.
• Strong written and spoken English with excellent customer‑care skills.

Required skills

• CCH Accounts Production (or equivalent) practice software.
• Cloud accounting platforms: Surf, Xero, Sage Line 50.
• Corporate tax preparation software.
• Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
