Part‑Time Sales Assistant – Retail Wine Store

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic part‑time Sales Assistant to join our wine shop in Galway. You will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them discover the perfect bottle while supporting daily store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with a positive attitude.
• Operate the till system accurately and process transactions.
• Maintain stock levels, organise displays and keep the store tidy.
• Ensure merchandising standards are met and the shop is presentable at all times.
• Stay up‑to‑date with product knowledge to advise customers effectively.
• Assist with deliveries, restocking and occasional store set‑up tasks.

Required profile

• Friendly, approachable and enthusiastic personality.
• Genuine interest in wine and a willingness to learn.
• Strong customer‑service focus and team‑oriented mindset.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Basic operation of a point‑of‑sale (POS) till system.
